Product details

Water-soluble potash fertilizers are potash fertilizers that can be completely dissolved in water, with the element potassium existing in ionic form in the solution and can be rapidly absorbed and utilized by plants. They are indispensable types of fertilizers in modern agriculture, especially in water-fertilizer integration (drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, etc.) and soilless cultivation. Water-soluble potash fertilizers are the key support of modern precision agriculture and efficient fertilization technology. They provide essential potassium to crops in a fast, efficient and flexible manner, and play a crucial role in increasing crop yields and improving quality (e.g. enhancing resistance to fall and disease, improving sugar content, color and flavor, etc.). When choosing, the advantages and disadvantages of different types of KCl, KSO4, KNO4 and KDP need to be considered in the light of factors such as crop type, growth stage, fertilizer application method, soil conditions and cost-effectiveness.

Product Features & Applications

Potassium chloride

As the most produced potash fertilizer variety in the world, it has a potassium content of 50-60% and is inexpensive to produce. However, the accumulation of chloride ions (Cl-) may trigger soil salinization, and chlorine-avoidant crops such as tobacco and potatoes need to be strictly avoided.

Potassium Sulphate

Containing 48%-52% potassium and 17%-18% sulphur, it is suitable for sulphur-demanding crops such as cruciferous vegetables. Long-term use may lead to soil acidification, need to be combined with lime or calcium-magnesium phosphate fertilizer to adjust the acidity.

Potassium nitrate

It is a "nitrogen and potassium double-effect" type of fertilizer, containing 44% potassium and 13% nitrate nitrogen, with water solubility as high as 100%. Its fast fertilizer supply makes it the first choice for leafy vegetables and fruit trees, but the risk of nitrate nitrogen leaching should be noted.

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate

The representative of "universal fertilizer", the ratio of phosphorus and potassium reaches 1:2.3, and the absorption rate of foliar spraying is over 90%. It plays a key role in flower promotion, fruit tree sweetening and grain resistance.

Water-soluble potash fertilizer has the following core advantages:

High solubility: It can be completely dissolved in water without precipitation or residue.

Quick-acting: Potassium ions (K⁺) can be quickly absorbed by plant roots after dissolution, rapidly replenishing potassium to meet the needs of crops at critical growth stages.

Compatibility: Suitable for mixing with other water-soluble fertilizers (nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer, medium and trace element fertilizers), convenient for preparing nutrient solution or irrigation solution, not easy to produce precipitation (but need to pay attention to the chemical reaction between different fertilizers).

1. Breakthrough improvement of bio-availability

Ionic State Direct Supply Mechanism: Water-soluble potash fertilizer releases K⁺ ions directly after dissolution, bypassing the adsorption process of soil particles, and the root uptake rate is increased by 3-5 times compared with traditional granular potash fertilizer.

Foliar absorption revolution: potassium dihydrogen phosphate and other varieties through the leaf stomata penetration, within 15 minutes can enter the leaf pulp cells, absorption efficiency of more than 90%, far more than the root absorption of 40% -60%.

2. Capacity for precision nutrient regulation

Accurate dosage to milligram level: with drip irrigation system can realize the precise supply of 0.5-2 grams/time per crop, avoiding salt damage caused by over-application.

Spatio-temporal coupled fertilization: the potassium/nitrogen ratio can be dynamically adjusted according to the demand of the crop's reproductive period, e.g., during the fruiting period of tomato, the K/N ratio is raised from 1:0.5 to 1:0.3, which significantly improves the weight of a single fruit.

3. Engineering crop quality

Sugar Synthesis Accelerator: Potassium ions activate starch synthase activity, raising the soluble solids content of grapes by 2-3 Brix degrees.

Induction of resistance gene expression: Enhancement of superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, increasing citrus cold resistance by 40% and extending shelf life by 15-20 days.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Which crops are particularly in need of water-soluble potassium fertilizer?

A: All crops need potassium, but the following situations need to be prioritized:

High-yielding cash crops: fruit trees (citrus, grapes), vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers), flowers, etc;

Critical growth periods: fruit expansion, tuber formation, flowering and fruiting;

Potassium Deficiency Symptomatic Crops: when leaf margins are scorched, stalks are thin and weak, and when there is a decrease in resistance to failure/disease.

Q: How to store water-soluble potash fertilizer? How long is the shelf life?

A: Storage conditions: sealed and stored in a cool and dry place (humidity ≤ 60%, temperature ≤ 30℃ ); keep away from acidic substances (anti-damping) and alkaline substances (anti-caking).

Shelf life: unopened: 2-3 years (potassium nitrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate are chemically stable); after opening: it is recommended to use it up within 6 months, it can still be dissolved and used after absorbing moisture and caking.

Q: How to control the concentration of water-soluble potash fertilizer?

A: Foliar spraying: the concentration is generally 0.2%-0.5% (e.g. 0.3% for potassium dihydrogen phosphate), and it should be diluted to 0.1%-0.2% during the high temperature period to avoid leaf burning. Drip irrigation/flushing: adjust according to the crop potassium demand, such as tomato fruiting period each time the dosage of 2-3 kg per mu, with the integration of water and fertilizer system precision supply.
